The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed May 17th to rule on an application by the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS seeking to serve by substituted means the charge against Nadeem Anjarwalla, a top executive of Binance, a crypto currency exchange company.
Anjarealla fled from custody while awaiting trial in Abuja
The trial judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, adjourned for ruling following the move by the counsel for FIRS, Moses Ideho , to serve the charge of the fleeing defendant on Tigran Gambaryan, the second defendant who has been on ground since the matter started.
The presiding judge, Emeka Nwite, had ruled in the sister case by the EFCC,that it was proper to serve on Gambaryan, the charge against Binance, which is the first defendant in the case.

The judge had granted that application of the prosecution because the defendant has capacity to represent the crypto-exchange company.
Counsel for the defendant, Chukwuka Ikwazuonu, said it will be inappropriate to serve a criminal charge on someone on another person’s behalf.
After listening to the submission of lawyers, the trial judge therefore adjourned the matter for ruling on the mode of service.
