On Thursday, the Kano state Police released a statement warning the two dominant parties in the state, the APC and NNPP to desist from holding any form of protest or procession as that could cause unrest in the state.
No response has been received from the Police when our correspondent put a phone call through to the Public Relations officer.
However, the Kano state commissioner for information and internal affairs, Baba
Dantiye has called on residents to desist from any form of protest adding that, the governor Abba Yusuf is a peaceful leader who has allowed the law to take its cause as he approaches the Supreme Court.
The commissioner also alleged that the opposition could be sponsoring miscreants to give an impression that the ruling NNPP in the state is responsible for breaching the existing peace in the state.
