There is palpable tension in Tamigbe town in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria following the killing of an abducted 60-year old woman by suspected gunmen.
According to local sources, the deceased woman simply identified as Ebikabore Oyas, and abducted last week Wednesday was reportedly shot in the head by her abductors after a ransom of N1 million was paid by her family members.

Her lifeless body was recovered along Foutorugbene Road close to her home town in Tamigbe, where it was dumped by the suspected gunmen, late Sunday night. The sad incident has caused tension and fear among residents living in the rural community.
In the meantime, the Burutu Police Area Command is yet to react to the development.
