Terrorists kill police inspector, abduct others in Katsina

Terrorists operating in the forest area of Jibiya Local Government Area of Katsina State, in the early morning of September 26 attacked and killed a police officer, Inspector Idris Musa, and burnt his car.

Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, while confirming, said the incident occurred at a place called Makers, along the Jibiya-Katsina Road.

According to Isah, the officer was on his way to work when he was attacked and killed by the terrorists and had his vehicle burnt.

Another source within the area also confirmed the incident and alleged that the terrorists also abducted some passengers accompanying the late officer.

The Police image maker further said the investigation is ongoing into the incident.
