At least two people were shot on Saturday in Itaji Ekiti, Oye local Government area of Ekiti state, South-West Nigeria in the second attack on the campaign convoy of former Governor Segun Oni.
Oni is the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in the June 18 election in Ekiti State.

Reports say one of the attackers was arrested when he fell off from the car while they were trying to escape from scene of incident.
He reportedly confessed to being a member of a transport union in the state
As at the time of filing this report, the injured have been taken to the hospital.
Efforts to reach the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu proved abortive as his phone number was not going through.
