President Bola Tinubu will present the proposed 2024 budget estimate to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday.
President Tinubu, in a letter read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, during Tuesday’s plenary, said he will be present to lay the Appropriation Bill before the National Assembly, by the provisions of the law.
President Tinubu says he is expected to present the proposed Federal Government expenditure at 11 a.m.
Akpabio told his colleagues that, as a result of the president’s visit, there would be restrictions on the National Assembly.

He therefore advised senators to use the gate adjacent to the presidential villa.
The budget is the first to be presented by President Tinubu since he assumed office in May.
The budget has a total size estimated within the threshold of N26 trillion, and it is N1.5 trillion higher than that of last year.
