President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says Nigeria is leveraging political will to drive inclusive social protection and strengthen social cohesion for national development.
Represented by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, the President made this known at the 2026 West Africa Technical Seminar of the International Social Security Association in Abuja.
The seminar, themed “Improving Inclusiveness of Social Security Services Through Effective Communication in West Africa,” focuses on expanding coverage, strengthening administration, and enhancing compliance across the region.
President Tinubu noted that the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund remains central to government efforts on employee compensation and inclusive social security.
The two-day event, hosted by NSITF, brings together Anglophone and Francophone representatives from across West Africa.
