Chairman senate committee on Appropriation Solomon Olamilekan has hinted that president Bola Tinubu will president the 2024 budget to National Assembly in the next two weeks.
Senator Olamilekan gave the hint during the inaugural meeting of the committee stating that the National Assembly will ensure that the 2024 budget is passed before December 31, 2024.

The Chairman also said that the Executive will forward 2024 Fiscal Strategy Paper and medium term expenditure frame work FSP/MTEF to the National Assembly for consideration.
He added that the National Assembly will sustain the tradition of one year budget circle assuring that the 2024 budget will be passed before December 31.
He says the Lawmakers will work assiduously to ensure that by December 31st , the President assents to the budget, so that from 1st of January , implementation of 2024 budget will commence
