President Bola Tinubu has secured a landslide victory in the APC direct presidential primaries in Plateau State, polling 241,720 votes to defeat challenger Stanley Osifo, who got 303 votes.
The exercise recorded a large turnout of party faithful and was described as free and fair by APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.
Party members in Plateau State turned out in large numbers as early as dawn to vote in the primaries.
APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda who was in Kanke local government area for the excersie said the impressive turnout reflects growing confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and signals strong momentum ahead of the general election.
Declaring the results after collation from the 17 local government areas, Plateau State Governor and Returning Officer, Caleb Mutfwang, confirmed Tinubu’s victory with 241,720 votes against Osifo’s 303 votes.
Governor Mutfwang added that the results will be transmitted to Abuja for final collation at the national level.
