Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria have voted in the party’s presidential primary election, joining counterparts nationwide.
The APC presidential primary election took place across all 314 wards in Rivers State with the exercise beginning with voter accreditation. Incumbent President Bola Tinubu and challenger Stanley Osifo are the two contestants.
At several wards in Port Harcourt City and Obio-Akpor local government areas, voting was calm and hitch-free.
Rivers State APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda also participated in the exercise, casting his vote for his preferred aspirant.
At the presidential primary election collation centre, the Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara who is also the state collation officer, said President Bola Tinubu scored 208,082 votes while Stanley osifo scored nil.
With the primary elections at the ward concluded, the party will formally announce the winner at a special convention planned for Sunday, May 24

Meanwhile, President Tinubu, has also emerged winner of the 2026 APC presidential primary election in Zamfara State after securing an overwhelming majority of votes cast.
Declaring the results, the Zamfara State Collation Officer for the APC presidential primary, Governor Dauda Lawal, announced that a total of 365,796 party members were registered for the exercise, while 322,435 voters were accredited.
According to him, a total of 321,621 votes were cast during the primary election.
He stated that at the end of the exercise, Tinubu scored 321,579 votes, while his contender, Stanley Osifor, polled 42 votes.
Following the announcement, Bola Tinubu was officially declared winner of the APC presidential primary election in Zamfara State.
