Former Governor of Anambra State and one of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi says the socio economic situation of the country is behind the myriad of its security problems.
Obi said this on Tuesday at the PDP secretariat, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where he met the state’s delegates ahead of the PDP presidential primary.
The PDP presidential hopeful said the security and other challenges bedevelling the nation are traceable to what he called poor governance models being practiced.

He said now, more than ever before, Nigeria needs the right leader as he urged the Osun PDP delegates to factor in his experience and capacity as they vote at the party’s primary election.
A PDP chieftain, Dr Doyin Okupe told the delegates the performance of Peter Obi when he was governor of Anambra state was commendable and called them to rally around the former governor and ensure his emergence as the party’s flag bearer.
