Officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, headed by the managing director, Kayode Opeifa, a team from the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau NSIB, security operatives, and other relevant bodies are back at the site of Tuesday’s train accident on the Abuja-Kaduna railway.

‎The movement aims to facilitate the evacuation of the fallen coaches, initiate repair work on the tracks, and continue the investigation into the possible cause of the incident.

‎AIT understands that the area will remain cordoned off from the general public to enable relevant persons and entities to carry out their designated assignments.

‎Tuesday’s incident is one among other challenges hampering smooth operations on Nigeria’s rail transportation system.
