The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Lafia has declared David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the 2023 Governorship Election.
In a split decision, two of the three justices which include the Tribunal chairman, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, held that the petitioner proved his case as the candidate who scored the highest lawful votes cast at the election
Consequentially, the two justices have ordered that the certificate of return issued to APC’s Governor Abdullahi Sule be withdrawn as he was not duly elected by the total number of valid votes cast.
