Troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY), have dismantled a criminal syndicate involved in the manufacture and supply of locally fabricated firearms to terrorist groups operating in Kebbi State.

In a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi Danja, the troops acted on credible intelligence to carry out a carefully planned operation on a secluded compound allegedly used by the suspects to evade security detection.

The statement noted that the operation, conducted in close collaboration with other security agencies, demonstrates the growing effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation in disrupting terrorist logistics and dismantling criminal networks across the North-West.

Lieutenant Colonel Danja added that the arrested suspects are currently in military custody undergoing preliminary interrogation, while investigations have commenced to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate, uncover their financiers and collaborators, and completely dismantle the illegal arms supply network.
