Troops kill 3 bandits in night raid in Katsina State

Troops of Operation Accord has neutralized bandits in a night raid in Tasha Village in Katsina State; killing 3 members of the gang.

Other members of the gang managed to escape with various degree of gunshot wounds.

The troop recovered from them 3 AK 47 rifles during the operation.

A Statement by the coordinator defence media operations Major General John Enenche noted that the troops arrested another group of 10 suspected bandits who were trying to migrate rustled livestock from Zuurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State to Niger Republic.

The suspects were arrested with 88 cows and unconfirmed number of sheep.

Similarly, troops deployed at Ungwan Doka on 15 November 2020, rescued one kidnapped victim, Adamu Yahaya. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was kidnapped at Unguwar Sa’ida village in Faskari Local Government Area.

The victim has been reunited with his family. Currently, the gallant troops have continued to dominate the general area with patrols to provide security for locals and deny bandits freedom of action.
