Troops of Sector 3 Multi-National Joint Task Force, MNJTF have killed at least seven terrorists and recovered weapons after they repelled an attack launched by the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP on Monguno town in Borno State, North-East Nigeria.
Counter insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama confirmed to AIT.live that the ISWAP fighters who came in gun trucks and several motorcycles attempted to infiltrate the town through Charly 6, at about 12:00 a.m. on Sunday but met resistance by the troops.

The report adds that troops who were already at alert, engaged the insurgents in a deadly fight, which led to the death of seven of terrorists. The overwhelming fire power of the troops forced the terrorists to scamper and retreat while the Multi-National forces chased them towards their escape routes.
