Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC has expelled 11 officers from its affiliate with immediate effects for alleged acts of disobedience and violations of resolutions.

This was part of the communique issued at the end of its National Executive council meeting in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.

Addressing journalists at the end of the meeting, TUC President General, Festus Osifo said the expelled officers are from Lagos, Rivers, Enugu and Bayelsa States stressing that they are barred from representing, acting or speaking on behalf of the Congress.

Osifo noted that the NEC also ratified the suspension of 14 other officers for two years re-affirming that discipline is indispensable to the survival, stability and integrity of institutions.

TUC President General enjoined all organs, affiliates, State Councils, officers and members of
Congress to give full effect to the resolutions and to continue
to uphold the values, authority and unity of the Trade Union Congress of
Nigeria.
