The Turkish government is set to deliver the first batch of T-129 ATAK helicopters to Nigeria, a clear indication of its preparedness to assist in the fight against criminality in Nigeria.
The T129 ATAK is a twin-engine, tandem-seat, multi-purpose, all-weather attack helicopter.
Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Hidayet Bayraktar, made the announcement at the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, held in Abuja.
According to him, Turkey will continue to build on its existing partnership with the administration of President Tinubu, adding that the challenges of terrorism.

And organized crime is not peculiar to Nigeria but requires international concern.
The Nigerian government last year procured six T129 helicopters produced by the Turkish Aerospace Industry for counter-terrorism operations in the country.
The aircraft is among the platforms expected to be delivered to NAF before the end of the first quarter of 2023.
