The police have arrested about 60 youths, popularly known as, “Yan Sara Suka” in Ogbomosho and Limawa neighbourhoods of Minna, in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.
The youths were arrested by police patrol teams where 39-year-old Ifeanyi Patrick, was stabbed to death, and a police officer also lost his life.
The youths were arrested at Limawa, Anguwar Daji, Anguwar Sarki, Abayi Close and Kongila areas of Minna.
Items recovered from the suspects include two saw blades, two cutlasses, two scissors, a knife, two catapults, 12 handsets, and two sticks as well as the sum of N77,560.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Wasiu Abiodun, says the suspects are under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID and will be arraigned in court, as soon as the process is concluded.
