Management of the Federal University Wukari in Taraba State, North-East Nigeria has confirmed the abduction of two students in the early hours of Tuesday.
Public Relations Officer of the University, Ashu Agya confirmed to AIT.live that the victims including one male, and one female were abducted in their off-campus accommodation close to the school along Wukari-Katsina Ala.
The abducted students are from the Departments of Micro Biology and Economics respectively, and were in the school to rewrite their carryover courses.
The management clarified that the school was not attacked as reported in some news outlets, adding that security and community effort is ongoing to rescue the abducted students.
