The United States National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, has met with the Angolan President, João Lourenço, to reinforce the strong bilateral relations between both countries.
Sullivan reaffirmed the support in resuming the U.S. – Angola Strategic Dialogue, as the centerpiece of their engagement.

In a statement from the white house, He also emphasised on their commitment to working with Angola, to advance their shared interests in economic ties, combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, and regional and maritime security, for the benefit of the American and the Angolan people.
