The United States has named Nigerian-born American Soldier, Sgt. Mary Ehiarinmwian as the 2020 USO Soldier of the year.
This was announced on the Twitter handle of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.
Sgt. Ehiarinmwian, a supply sergeant, received the award for her act of bravery and heroism when she saved another soldier in distress from a car accident in Hawaii.

She was born in Nigeria and migrated to Germany as a child, before going to the U.S. in 2016.
