New York City-born United States rapper and radio personality and hype man, Isaac Freeman known by the stage name Fatman Scoop has died at age 53.
The “Be Faithful” rapper, Fatman Scoop was said to have suffered a medical emergency while performing on stage in Hamden Town Centre Park, Connecticut, United States on Friday, August 30.
There were screams from the audience at his final show as the ace hype man was seen struggling after he mounted a platform before disappearing from view as medics raced to revive him.
Those nearby administered CardioPulmonary Resuscitation CPR procedure on the rapper before he was taken to the hospital where he eventually died.
The late on-air personality’s family said the world had lost a radiant soul and beacon of light on the stage and in life.
They described the entertainer, FatMan Scoop as not just a world class performer but a father, brother, uncle and a friend whose laughter in their lives was a constant source of support, unwavering strength and courage.
