U.S Singer, R Kelly Sues Federal Bureau of Prisons For Leaking Private Information

The embattled Chicago Illinois United States born singer songwriter and music producer Robert Kelly popularly known as R Kelly has sued the Federal Bureau of Prisons over allegations of leakage of his private information to American media personality, Youtuber and blogger Latasha Kebe popularly known as Tasha K.

The “I BELIEVE I CAN FLY” singer, R Kelly on Monday November 13th 2023 through his lawyers filed a complaint at the Chicago Federal Court, against the Bureau of Prisons for leaking recordings of his private phone calls with his girlfriend and lawyers, leaked his email communication and visitors records which some
employees of the prisons allegedly sold to Tasha; who in return broadcast online to more than 1 million followers.

R Kelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean said the defendant; the United States breached its duty of care by allowing countless Bureau Of Prisons officers access Kelly’s confidential information without any legal basis to do so.

The leaks Bonjean said left Kelly isolated and fearful to communicate with his attorneys or other third parties; knowing it could be released to the general public for mass exploitation.

In September 2022, R Kelly was convicted in Chicago on separate Federal charges bordering on child pornography and enticement of minors for sex and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
