Akwa Ibom State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Udom Emmanuel has met with Governor Nyesom Wike a day after the Rivers State Governor dared the party to sanction him and insisted on endorsing another presidential candidate.
The meeting which took place at the Ada George Road residence of Governor Wike also had on attendance, the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.

Both Ortom and Wike are among the five PDP Governors, otherwise known as G5 who are demanding that the position of the Chairman of the party be zoned to the South, as key for supporting the Presidential Candidate of the party Atiku Abubakar.
After over three hours of discussions, Govenor Udom Emmanuel told journalists that the meeting was completely apolitical.
He said his visit to Rivers State is to “demonstrate love and friendship in the spirit of the season.”.. a view corroborated by Governor Nyesom Wike who says that politics should not be enough reason for brothers to stay divided.
