The United Nations Rescue Services is to partner with the Bayelsa State Government on eradicating housing deficit by providing low-cost houses on owner-occupier basis across the state.
Ambassador Steve Midalah, who is the UN Rescue Global Chairman gave the hint during a visit to the Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri in Government house Yenagoa, also expresses displeasure that the state has not benefited from the UN rescue program.
Ambassador Midalah said the United Nations is also worried at the level of poverty and poor housing facility for the masses in Nigeria.

Responding, Governor Douye Diri, appreciated the UN affiliate for choosing Bayelsa as one of the benefiting states
The UN body also used the courtesy visit to nominate Governor Douye Diri into the hall of fame of UN international ambassadors
