Three suspected killers of little Hanifa Abubakar have denied involvement in the act.
The three suspects Abdulmalik Tanko and his two accomplices, Hashimu Isyaku and Fatima Jibrin were re-arraigned before Justice Usman Naabba of the Kano State High Court on Monday.
Abdulmalik Tanko, the school teacher who had in a video confessed to abducting and killing his 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar denied the murder charges.
At the sitting today the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Musa Lawal leveled charges of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, concealing/keeping in confinement a kidnapped person and culpable homicide, contrary to Sections 97, 274, 277 and 221 of the Penal Code against the suspects.
They all pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Counsel to the suspects, Labaran Usman who is from the Legal Aid Council said his clients only admitted to conspiracy charges while the other charges were denied.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Musa Lawal said they will bring in witnesses to strengthen charges against the suspects
The presiding judge, Justice Usman Naabba adjourned the case to the 2nd and 3rd of March 2022 for further hearing and order that the suspects be remanded at the correctional centre.
