The government in Imo State, South East Nigeria has assured the leadership of Labour and Pensioners unions in the State that it will commence modalities for the payment of their gratuities and Check-off dues.
Governor Hope Uzodimma gave his words when leaders of both Unions paid him a courtesy visit at the New Exco Chambers, Government House, Owerri.
The Governor has therefore directed the State’s Head of Service to commence the computation of arrears of promotions for payment to Imo workers without delay.

Uzodimma also directed the State Accountant General to immediately commence the payment of Check-off dues to pensioners, regretting what he explained as a delay in the process.
At the meeting, the Governor further assured the Labour and Pensioners Unions that he had directed the immediate release of promotions of the civil servants who were recently evaluated for elevation after being stagnated for several years.
