Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed optimism of a harmonious working relationship with senior civil servants in the state house.
The Vice President met with the Permanent Secretary, State House, Tijjani Umar and other senior civil servants in the Office of the Vice President.
Umar briefed the Vice President on the functions and responsibilities of the various units under his office.
Shettima says the experience of the staff will assist him in the discharge of his responsibilities.
The Permanent Secretary, who also briefed state house correspondents said the interaction with the Vice President, is “part of the obligations of the institutional officers to welcome and assist the vice president to settle down without let or hinderance”
The Permanent Secretary also says that the units will continue to brief the vice president on a regular basis in order to maintain the efficiency expected from his office.
