Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwlu has insisted that Nigeria’s all-conquering female team, the Super Falcons, are the nation’s strongest ambassadors.
In a statement by the Minister’s
Special Assistant on Communication and New Media, Magnus Eze, she congratulated the team following their incredible comeback victory over host nation, Morocco, to win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations- WAFCON2024 on Saturday night.
The Minister had, before the match ,made a viral video encouraging the team to go all out and bring the trophy home. In the morale-booster message, she declared them formidable, indisputable, and strongest ambassadors of the nation.
The Super Falcons became the first African team in history to clinch the title for a record 10th time.
