Vice President Shettima says the Super Eagles have no cause to be sad after losing to Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON on Sunday night.
Speaking to the players after the match in Abidjan, Shettima who represented President Bola Tinubu in the Stadium said the players should celebrate for coming second in Africa.

The Vice President had in a statement by his media aide on Sunday night urged the team and supporters to use the 2023 AFCON experience as a springboard for further growth, adding that Nigeria may not have lifted the trophy, but Africa truly emerged as the champion.
