The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has elected it’s State House of Assembly and some National Assembly candidates for the 2023 general elections.
Although the primaries scheduled for Sunday across the country was concluded on Monday in Plateau State, the election was generally peaceful.
So far, all state house of assembly primaries have been concluded in, but only four out of the six House of Representatives primaries were concluded which includes the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency where the Newly elected member representing the constituency Musa Agah Avia emerged winner.
In the Jos East/Jos South House of Representatives primaries, a serving Federal lawmaker , Dachung Musa Bagos was declared winner.
The Minority leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly Peter Gyendeng clinched the Primary ticket for the Riyom/ Barkin Ladi Federal Constituency While Isaac Kwallu was declared winner for the Quaan-Pan/ Mikang/ Shandam federal constituency.
Member representing Langtang North and South Federal Constituency Beni Lar won the House of Representatives, while the remaining two federal constituencies yet to be conducted are Mangu/Bakos and Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam federal constituencies.
For the Senate, only two out of the three senatorial zones primaries were concluded where the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Constituency in the House of Representatives, Simon Mwadkwon clinched the ticket for Plateau North District
