Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, says the Central Reference Hospital, Okene, under construction will upon completion, end medical tourism in Nigeria and provide an array of job opportunities to residents of the state and beyond.

Governor Bello, who said this while inspecting various projects in parts of Kogi Central Senatorial District, said it makes more sense to focus on capital projects that will produce a positive multiplier effect on the citizens.

One of the projects is a 300 bed- space Reference Hospital estimated to cost over 4.7 billion naira, under construction in Okene, Kogi State.

Governor Bello was on hand with members of his cabinet to see the level of work done as explained to him by the state Commissioner for Works and Housing, Abubakar Ohere

The Governor boasted that upon completion, the medical facility will be the best in Africa

He also inspected some road construction projects ongoing in Kogi Central and expressed satisfaction with what he saw.
