Some Yenagoa residents have commended the Bayelsa state government, for fulfilling its promise of creating impact through infrastructure development projects.

They spoke to journalists this Friday during a work inspection tour of some road projects in the State, just as the state government says it is committed to using available resources prudently for the development of the state.

Works had intensified at the Yenagoa/Oporoma road in the central senatorial districts, barely a week after Governor Douye Diri visited the project site with the contractors.

The road which is a federal project was started by the previous government of Seriake Dickson, just as the Diri’s administration plans to continue from where his predecessor stopped as both the Commissioner for Works, Moses Teibowei and his information counterpart, Ayuba Duba visited the site to ascertain the progress of work.

Other project sites visited by the team included, Opokuma road, new commissioners quarters road and the Etegwe roundabout expansion.

The two commissioners told journalists about government’s resolve to commence work on more internal road projects in the coming weeks.

The state government under Governor Diri, had given assurance to embark on the people oriented projects this year.
