Yobe Bye Election: Exercise, Peaceful witnessed Mixed Turnout Of Voters

Bye election in Yobe state for the vacant seat of the Yobe East Senatorial zone was peaceful as it recorded mixed turnout of voters at some polling units in the seven local government areas of the senatorial Zone.

State Governor Mai Mala Buni say he is happy with the conduct of the Bye election in Yobe East Senatorial Zone of the state as residents participated fully in the exercise.
At most polling centres the officials say the exercise was smooth with the full compliments of materials and security agents as well as the enthusiasm exhibited by the people.

Saturday Morning in the dusty town of Damaturu residents came out to exercise, it is one of the bye elections holding in the North East following the resignation Ibrahim Geidam who is the present minister of Police Affairs making his seat vacant

Residents flooded the polling booths in the seven local government areas of the state to partake in the exercise that would bring a new representative for the zone

Among them was the Governor of Yobe state Mai Mala Buni who expressed confidence in the electoral process

There was a huge influx of women was due to the fact that men had earlier voted in the morning leaving the women to participate

Such was the interest shown in the election as all eyes would be at the collation of results.
