The National Executive Committee of the Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria YSFON is very disturbed by the state of Insecurity in the country and has joined forces with well-meaning Nigerians to condemn the ethnic conflicts, unimaginable and senseless killings, and Banditry currently ravaging the length and breath of Nigeria.

Speaking after an emergency NEC meeting on Tuesday YSFON President and Deputy Governor of Kano State Dr. Nasiru Gawuna Appealed to Nigerian Youths to sustain their interest in sports and not allow themselves to be deceived by taking to crime and committing sin against humanity.

Gawuna says the Nigerian Youth has a lot to offer his country and must continue to think positively to develop his immediate environment
He insists that through various sporting activities the Nigerian Youth would achieve peace, be united and make a meaningful living rather than take to Banditry, Kidnapping, and associated negative lifestyle.

Gawuna also appealed to fellow Nigerian leaders to join hands and advice every youth to enable them understand the danger inherent in vices and wanton destruction of Iives and property.

He argued that by engaging in sporting activities, the Nigerian Youth Will bring pride to the country and contribute to national development.

Also throwing his weight behind the President, YSFON National Secretary Patrick Okpavuerhe says he feels sad that some Nigerian Youths are deviating
from the right path and destroying their future by taking to crime and ungodly way of live.

Patrick laments the rather painful and unfortunate state of insecurity in Nigeria today He appealed to the Government to take urgent steps in tackling the problem so that normalcy will return to the country.

The Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria YSFON is Nigeria’s foremost Youth Sports Organising body, it’s efforts in times past have brought fame and progress to the country.

Given the enabling environment, Nigeria stands the chance to make significant inroads by encouraging the Youths towards realising their potentials as the engine room for national development.
