The Nigeria Immigration Service has confirmed a recently leaked memo alerting of possible terror attacks on the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; but appealing to residents not to panic.
The memo which went viral on Thursday notified the various commands of intelligence from the Presidency indicating that an Algerian National (mention his name) with Malian accomplices and their Nigerian collaborators are planning attacks in Nigeria.

It specified their entry point to be the Niger-Nigerian border.
The letter dated December 23, 2021, was titled, ‘Terrorists Plan Attacks In Abuja’ was addressed to all sector commanders and border patrol corps all over the country and signed by the Land Border Patrol Commander, Edirin Okoto, on behalf of the Acting Comptroller General Of Immigration Service, Idris Jere.
In a Telephone Conversation with AIT, Nigerian Immigration Service Public Relations Officer, Amos Okpu who confirmed the authenticity of the leaked memo said it is an internal memo that is not supposed to be in the public domain and advised Nigerians not to panic.
