Zamfara Abduction: Kidnappers free 74 persons after N6 million ransom payment

74 abducted persons from Wanzamai Village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State have regained their freedom after the payment of six million naira ransom to their abductors.

A resident of the troubled village told newsmen the abductors released 74 of their captives killed two and kept others in their den.

The freed persons were brought to the village in vehicles straight to a private hospital for medical screening as many of them could not walk properly after their ordeal with the kidnappers

85 persons were initially abducted but one of the victims escaped leaving 84
