A faction of the Zamfara State All Progressives Congress, APC, loyal to Senator Kabiru Marafa, says the crisis rocking the party in the state may degenerate except the caretaker committee led by Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni, urgently intervenes and resolves the dispute.
Speaking to reporters at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, former Publicity Secretary of the party in the State, Bello Bakyasuwa, alleged that there are plans by the APC bye-elections screening committee to disqualify its candidate for the Bakura State Constituency, Sani Yar’Kofogi, as a result of the faction’s role in the 2019 general election leading to the loss of the APC in all the election at the Supreme Court.
Bakyasuwa said the camp loyal to former Governor of the State, Abdulazeez Yari, should be held responsible for the illegality perpetrated by the party in 2019 leading to the loss.

Bakyasuwa alleged that the APC screening committee has been biased in its assignment prompting the complain to the National Secretariat.
