A party chieftain Abdullahi Shinkafi, is canvassing for the integration of internal democracy to avoid jeopardizing the party’s chances in the general election.
The All Progressives Congress, APC lost Zamfara State to the PDP in both the 2019 and 2023 elections.
It acknowledges that the lack of internal party democracy, particularly the imposition of candidates and anti-party activities by members.l were responsible for the losses
As it gears up for the 2027 general election, members and supporters are calling for unity and the promotion of peace among members so that they can work together reclaim the power.
A chieftain of the party, Abdullahi Shinkafi, is warning that imposition of candidates will be the party’s undoing.
He called the APC to respect the zoning arrangement to ensure inclusiveness.
