Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, says his administration’s empowerment initiatives are designed to promote self-reliance, restore dignity and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots.
The Governor stated this while distributing 300 vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles to individuals and groups at a ceremony held at the Trade Fair Complex in Gusau.
Governor Lawal says the empowerment programme recognises the contributions of individuals and grassroots organisations to the overall development of Zamfara State.

The distribution the vehicles and motorcycles is part of the state government’s efforts to empower beneficiaries, encourage productive activities, create economic opportunities and stimulate local economic growth.

The Governor described the exercise as another milestone in his administration’s Rescue Mission agenda, aimed at rewarding individuals and groups who have demonstrated commitment to the socio-economic and political development of the state.

He urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the vehicles and motorcycles, remain committed to their respective responsibilities, and continue supporting initiatives aimed at advancing the development of Zamfara State.
