Zamfara State Government says, it has concluded plans with the security, to deploy some of their operatives to schools across the state, to protect the students and teachers.
Governor Bello Mohammed made this known while hosting some students who paid him a courtesy visit in his office, as part of activities marking the International Day of the Girl Child.
The Governor gave his seat to Zainab Bello, a J.S.S Two student of Unity School, Kortokoshi, for almost one hour, to act as the Governor of Zamfara State, where she performed the duty of the chief executive of the state by posting a Commissioner-designate, Fa’ika Ahmed to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
Governor Zainab Bello said she will protect the rights and promote the education of the Girl Child in the state, as part of her development agenda for the state.

Governor Bello Mohammed assured that his administration will soon pay its counterpart funds for the year 2021 Universal Basic Education, UBEC, to continue to improve the standard of education, especially of the girl child in Zamfara State.
The Chairperson of High-Level Women Advocate, HLWA, Maryam Na’inna, highlighted the significance of the International Day of the Girl Child.
The event was attended by two former deputy governors of the state, Mukhtar Anka and Ibrahim Wakala, the Chief of Staff, Commissioners-designate and other relevant stakeholders.
