Terrorists have reportedly abducted a journalist, Idris Haruna.

He was abducted along the Tofa-Dansadau road, in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Idris Haruna is a staff of the Zamfara State Radio and Television Services.

An eyewitness said the journalist was abducted while on his way home, after the close of work on Wednesday.

It was also gathered that Haruna was returning home with his friend, Alhaji Kabiru when they were attacked by the terrorists, but Kabiru escaped, while he was whisked away.

Idris Haruna has been the host of a popular phone-in Radio programme, ‘Su Duniya Manya’.

The terrorists have contacted the family but did not disclose the amount to be paid as ransom.
