The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has won all the local councils’ chairmanship and councillorship seats, in the Local Government election held in the fourteen Local Government Areas of the State on Saturday, 16th November 2024.

The chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), Bala Aliyu declared the PDP candidates winner of the local Government election this Sunday morning.

The State Electoral body Chairman also announced at the Local council’s election results collation centre in Gusau that eleven Political parties fielded candidates and participated in the election.

The major opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) had boycotted the local government election in Zamfara State over alleged contravention of the Electoral law, the three-month notice.
