The national chairman of Zenith labour Party and member of the national leadership of the Inter Party advisory council, IPAC Dan Nwanyanwu, has charged the newly elected executive council of IPAC in Rivers State not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to create tension in the state.
Dan Nwanyanwu who stated this shortly after the election of the chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the social Democratic party, Solsuema Osaro as Chairman of Rivers State IPAC, expressed concerns with the conduct of twenty seven Rivers State assembly members and vowed to Champion a re election campaign following their defection from the peoples Democratic party during plenary to the All progressives Congress .
14 out of 19 political parties participated in the rivers state executive inter party advisory council election under the watchful eyes of the national Chairman of IPAC, Yusuf Dandali,as chairman of the social Democratic party, Solsuema Osaro, was elected as Chairman unopposed.
The exercise was conducted by raising of hands as the ruling PDP and main opposition APC in the state were both absent.
National chairman of the zenith labour party, Dan Nwanyanwu while addressing the newly elected Rivers State executive council of IPAC, said the council will not fold its hands and watch lawmakers who have hitherto lost their seats continue to sit for plenary.
He appealed to the newly elected executive not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to truncate democracy in Rivers State.
The Newly elected chairman, Solsuema Osaro, expressed gratitude to Governor Sim Fubara for not interfering with the activities of IPAC since he became governor.
Amongst the newly elected Rivers State executive of IPAC was the only female and chairman of Labour party, Hilda Dokubo who was elected as Publicity secretary after fortune Ogobueze of the PRP stepped down for her.
