Nigeria’s minister of state for foreign affairs Zubairu Dada on Thursday visited the Abuja headquarters of the Economic Community of the West African States where a part of the building was engulfed by fire on Tuesday.
Zubairu says the visit was to sympathise with the commission and show solidarity and support in the spirit of African brotherhood
The President of the ECOWAS Commission Jean Claude Kass Brou says the thorough investigation is ongoing with the fire department to ascertain the exact cause of the fire and total damage suffered.

Fire gutted a section of the ECOWAS Secretariat on tuesday night and was gathered that the fire affected the second floor accomodating the Commission’s department of Finance and Accounts.
