The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 17 new Covid-19 fatalities in the country as death toll climbs to 382. The Centre has also announced 407 new infections bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 13,873.
The breakdown of the new infections includes Lagos-201; FCT- 85; Delta- 22; Edo- 16; Nasarawa, Borno and Kaduna- 14 each; Bauchi-10; Rivers-9; Enugu and Kano- 5 each; Ogun and Ondo- 4 each; Bayelsa Kebbi and Plateau- 2 each.
The Federal Capital Territory now has 1,097 confirmed Covid-19 cases following 85 new infections. It has overtaken Kano State that has a total of 1,025 cases to become the state with the second-highest number of confirmed cases in Nigeria.
A total of 145 Covid-19 patients have been discharged across Nigeria bringing total number of successfully treated cases to 4,351.
