The Flying Eagles of Nigeria kicked off their campaign with a loss to Senegal in their opening game at the 23rd edition of U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt .
The junior Teranga Lions got the needed win in the 40th minute through Souleymane Faye before the half time whistle.

On return to action, the Ladan Bose boys fought back to get an equalizer but the Senegalese side closed all chances forcing the game to end 1-0 in their favour .
In other Group A fixtures, at the Cairo International Stadium, hosts Egypt and Mozambique played out a goalless draw to end up with one point each.
Seven times champions, Nigeria who are buttom of the Group A log will hope to redeem their image when they face Egypt in their second game of the group on Wednesday, February 22.
