The Katsina state Government has received another batch of 204 Almajiri children from Nasarawa state.
Secretary to the state government, Mustapha Inuwa who received them on behalf of the state government said, they are from 8 different local government areas of the state and have been duly screened and certified COVID-19 free.
Shortly after receiving the children at the NYSC orientation camp, they were seperated into their various local government areas of origin for easy transportation.
They were also screened and checked by the health personnel which according to the secretary to the state government said there is no cause to panic.
He also noted with satisfaction the arrangement made by the Nasarawa state government where the children were screened and given face masks unlike that of Gombe state that transported them without adequate communication and plans .
With this batch, the state has so far received 780 Almajiri children from the 3 states of Kano, Gombe and Nasarawa and according to sources, more are still being expected from other states.
