Having emerged the overall best at the 68th Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria Professional Induction, ICAN, in November 2021, twenty-four-year-old Hope Tumba, an indigene of Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has been awarded automatic employment into the Adamawa State University.
The Chairman of the institution’s Governing Council, Awwal Tukur, at the University’s liaison office in Yola, said Hope Tumba, is a resource that must be harnessed by the institution.
Hope Tumba also graduated from Adamawa State University as the best graduating student, and she has been making the institution proud in her pursuit of excellence.
This made the school offer her automatic employment.

While introducing the lady to the governing council, the Vice-chancellor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, urged Tumba to take it as a personal responsibility to mentor younger girls, in the pursuit of their careers.
Hope Tumba also bagged the Society of Women Accountants prize, for being the overall best qualifying female candidate in ICAN May 2021, Co-prize for Advanced Taxation, best qualifying candidate 2021, and best graduating student, Michika/Madagali Constituency, from 2009/2010 to the 2018/2020 academic sessions, and also bagged the Federal Government Scholarship Board Award.
